Welcome To Saltburn Primary School

As Headteacher, I would like to offer you a warm welcome to our website.  We are a family school with dedicated staff and a supportive Local Governing Committee, proudly standing at the heart of our coastal community. We are committed to building strong relationships with our families to enable all of our children to flourish.

Nurture:

We provide an inclusive, safe and happy environment where all children feel respected and supported to reach their full potential. We strive to ensure that individual strengths and talents are nurtured, encouraged and celebrated. We provide a foundation for our children to grow as confident and kind citizens who embrace our British values:

  • Democracy
  • Rule of law
  • Religious tolerance
  • Mutual respect
  • Individual liberty

Inspire:

Our children are known to be naturally creative and it is our aim to harness this through opportunities including experience days, Skills Builder careers projects, competitions, educational visits, performances and invited guests. We deliver a broad and knowledge-rich curriculum that challenges, excites and inspires children to become confident and resilient learners. Combined, these enrichment opportunities and a knowledge rich curriculum help to enhance the Cultural Capital of each child to ensure that everyone can thrive regardless of background or starting point.

Achieve:

We expect the highest possible progress and achievement for every child. Excellent teaching inspires a love of learning and develops enquiring minds. Our children leave our school motivated, equipped and able to succeed in meeting their aspirations.

To fulfil our vision, our school family demonstrates six core values:

  1. We are Proud
  2. We are Inclusive
  3. We are Safe
  4. We are Responsible
  5. We are Respectful
  6. We are Resilient

These core values are fully embodied in what we collectively refer to as our ‘Saltburn Standards’.

  • We will value everyone and everything in our school community
  • We will be polite to everyone and always use good manners
  • We will walk quietly and sensibly around the school (slowly, silently, sensibly)
  • We will respect each other people’s differences
  • We will listen to the ideas and opinions of others
  • We will wear our school uniform with pride.
  • We will show kindness and consideration to everyone
  • We will be proactive in ensuring that our environment has no litter or damage and be clean or tidy.
  • We will be resilient and never give up!

Please do not hesitate to get in touch if there is anything at all we can help you with.  We always look forward to welcoming new families.

Warmest wishes
