Rainbow Challenges

In nursery and reception, we provide our children with a variety of weekly rainbow challenges. This is to promote independent learning and an opportunity for children to take ownership of their own learning and increase their curiosity.

Nursery

In Nursery, children will have one rainbow challenge focus per day, alongside accessing our continuous and enhanced provision to consolidate learning.

Reception

In reception, children have a range of rainbow challenges that cover all areas of learning per week. Each colour of the rainbow represents a different area of learning. Once children have completed a rainbow challenge, they must inform a teacher and then they get a tick on their rainbow challenge card (seen below). Once a child fills their rainbow challenge card, they earn a prize from the prize box and receive a certificate of recognition.
