We are delighted to announce that from September 2025 we can offer 30-hour provision for working parents of three- and four-year-olds.
The government funds the extension of free childcare to support parents who currently work, wish to return to work or to increase their working hours, by making childcare more affordable.

Accessing free 30-hour childcare in a school nursery setting provides children with a consistent, high-quality early education while supporting our local families with flexible, affordable childcare.

Saltburn Primary School 30-Hour Offer

Curriculum Coverage

Children receiving 30-hour funding will have the same full access to the curriculum as those on 15-hour placements, with additional time in the setting to consolidate and revisit their learning alongside class teachers and learning support assistants.
Our 30-Hour School Day

As part of our offer for 30 hours, children would arrive at Nursery for 8:45-8:55am and be collected at 3:30pm. As these timings exceed 30 hours, we are asking for an additional cost of £2.00 per day to cover the additional 45 minutes.
*All payments will be made via Arbor*

Lunch Arrangements

At lunchtimes, your child is welcome to receive a school lunch at the cost of £2.50 a day or alternatively you can provide your child with a healthy packed lunch. Your child will join our reception during their lunchtime in the school hall and access the EYFS playground afterwards.
*All payments will be made via Arbor*

Nursery Pick up and Drop off open windows

We offer a flexible drop-off and pick-up window for nursery children to support families with siblings attending school on the same site, making daily routines more convenient.
Morning Session & 30-Hour Children (Open Drop-Off): 8:45am – 8:55am
Morning Session (Open Pick-Up): 11:35am – 11:45am
Afternoon Session (Open Drop-Off): 12:30pm – 12:40pm
Afternoon Session only & 30-Hour Children (Open Pick-Up): 3:20pm – 3:30pm
Please ensure you arrive within the designated windows to support the smooth running of our day. If you arrive after the drop-off window, your child will need to enter nursery via the school office.
If you are collecting siblings from elsewhere in the school, we advise collecting them first before coming to the nursery pod door.
Children attending our afterschool club will be collected directly from nursery by afterschool staff.
Saltburn Primary School is thrilled to offer 30 hours of free childcare, supporting local families with high-quality early education.
